Why?
One of our core values at Hope is to be Rooted in the Bible. We have found that it’s impossible to be rooted in something that you don’t know or haven’t read! In 2024, we read through the Bible together as a church utilizing the Bible Recap book and reading plan. Even though we are not reading together as a church this year, we invite you to read through the bible using the Bible Recap book again! If you don’t have one, please stop by our Bible Recap table in the lobby and pick up a complimentary copy. At Hope, we believe that through the spiritual discipline of reading God’s Word, you become Discipled to Maturity. As you take this step of faith to engage in God’s Word, we want you to ask God to open your heart, your mind, and your eyes to see what He wants to show you and how He wants to grow you!
What Plan do we recommend?
We recommend the Bible Recap reading plan. It is a chronological plan that will take you through the entire Bible highlighting, summarizing and clarifying the passages. We like this plan for its simplicity, and its availability. You can access the reading plan digitally, with a physical print out, or through an audio podcast. It is our hope these different options will allow you to discover the best way to engage with the Bible!
How to begin?
First, you need to make a plan! How do you plan to engage in the Bible reading plan? Once you choose how you plan to engage, you’ll need to download the plan or pick up your materials at the church. Check out the options below:

Yes! We want this resource to be as flexible as you are. Some people will be strictly print users and others will be only digital users, but you can mix both modalities if it suits your reading and lifestyle better!

If you miss a day and want to double up the next to stay on track, that’s great! YOU get to set your pace and it may take much longer than one year to complete. The last thing we want is for you to just “give up” because you’ve missed a few days or weeks. It is never our intention for you to feel ashamed for missing any of the readings, it is our desire for you to read the Word, become a self-feeding disciple, and know the Lord!
